This Week...

...has been the week from hell. I know everyone who knows us is aware of what's gone on. Now that things are seeming to be settling, we can take a breath. We are both exhausted, and Kenny is stressed and tired and, well, we can all understand I'm sure. Thank you to everyone who has called to check in, and to Mom for looking after the kids during crisis time, and also during decompressing time. Not sure what we would have done without you. We can always count on you, and you have no idea how much you're appreciated.

Thank you, Shannon. Ken's mom had some serious complications after having knee replacement surgery. She's still in the hospital, and probably will be for a while yet, but things are much better now.

Ohh - I'm so sorry to hear about that :( I hope she's doing better soon. I know what it's like - my grandmother has thrown us for a few loops this year with her surgeries and such.

My step mother had knee replacement surgery.

It's good to know the crisis has passed.

It's definitely passed, but who knew all these complications could happen. She had her surgery, and a week later found out she had blood clots in her lung, which caused her to into cardiac arrest. My husband happened to be at home with her at the time and was calm enough to think to call an ambulance asap. She's going to be in the hospital for another few days yet, but she's going to be okay.

WOW!! Thank God he was home with her. How incredibly scary. My heart along with my jaw just dropped to the floor.
